How to Install and Boot or Run Linux from a USB Flash Drive/Stick/Pen drive

In this tutorial I will show how to run or boot your favourate linux distribution (Shortly known as Distro) from any usb flash drive/stick.Firstly you need an USB burning program which will burn/install your linux iso file. There are many programs to burn iso file into usn device. I will recommend you to use "UNetBootIn" which is available for Free video converter download at unetbootin.sourceforge.net . It is official video to website of unetbootin.

UNetbootin is the best program to install any live linux distro into USB stick.

dvd ripper for mac download your UNetbootin program for Windows video converter. Then run it inside your windows. Then you will see a window like below.

Now you have to do some simple jobs. Don't be confused with many options in this window. Firstly you have to enter into 'Distribution List' and select the distribution you want to install. Then select the version. Now come to 'Disk Image' bar and select the type 'iso' instade of 'floppy img'. Then select your main linus iso file from the right side of Disk swf to gif image bar. Now from the bottom select the USB Drive as 'type' and select it's location.

Other things should be unchanged. Now click on ok to continue. Then you will see the installation process like below.

After the installation, it will prompt you to restart your windows. Now restart your windows. Dont open your USB from PC video converter. Now at bios menu, tell your your computer to boot from UBS. Then your computer will boot from yor usb. If you use linux mint then you will see a initial window like below.

Now proceed to desktop view of your favourate linux operating system. Thats all. Have fun….
